Whether learning in-person or virtually, all students deserve to choose a book they are excited to read at their reading level, whether graphic novels, high-interest novels for new readers, or authentic novels by exalted Mexican authors. This project allows each student to choose a timely book for October/November, focusing on growing up, ghosts, Day of the Dead, haunted schoolhouses, and more. Having their own copy of the book provides for virus safety and reduces the time spent learning via screens. Book club discussions among classmates are exciting and fulfilling activities.

About my class
