As a first grade teacher I belive that having clear expectations and routines in the classroom helps tremendously in the learning process. In first grade we are continuously transitioning from the floor to their tables. A sitting Rug will help my first graders to know exactly where to go and sit everyday, this simple fact will give them so much confidence in what they are doing. This will help to keep the class organized and engaged and at the same time a sitting rug will make our class a much cozier place to sit and learn.
