The materials I am requesting for my students will help for them to stay organized while also providing individual learning tools. By each student having their own baskets for folders and writing utensils, they are able to stay organized and keep their items safe. As they will only be in the classroom two days a week, the shared desks need to stay clean and empty for each group of students. By providing hands-on materials, students are engaged and practice problem solving skills. First grade is a big year for literacy! It will be extremely helpful for each student to have their own set of magnet letters to manipulate as they learn letter families, blends and digraphs.
