In my kindergarten classroom, we have a community calm-down spot. This spot is used when a student is having BIG feelings and needs a break to self-regulate and get ready for more learning. Due to COVID-19, my students will not be able to use that spot this year, but the need for it still exists. I want to create individual calm-down kits for each of my kindergarteners that can be customized to their needs. Especially in these challenging times, these tools will be used to help my students process their big emotions and move forward with their day.

About my class
