This unit will be so helpful to my students to keep their belongings safe from the spread of germs and allow everyone to have equal access to all of the classroom materials at their fingertips. We use journals, writing folders, poetry folders, whiteboard paddles, markers, pencil boxes, and math manipulatives every day in first grade. Having an individual space to call your own makes you feel welcome and more importantly valued! Space in the classroom will be limited due to new safety protocols, but our sense of community should remain.
