Due to COVID-19, medical experts have put in place guidelines and rules to keep everyone safe including schools. This school year has brought uncertainty as we enforce these guidelines to ensure the safety of our students. The needs of those students with exceptionalities have been affected as well. Many of our speech students working on articulation have weak oral motor skills and it is important that they are able to visibly see cues and placement of oral motor muscles. Our students need accurate tactile to practice and learn proper placement for specific speech sound productions. These masks will be effective and safe in providing speech services to our students.
