The base ten blocks are needed to make number sense make sense. Students are able to manipulate numbers based on their place and value. Math tends to be a challenging subject for many students. With my past experience and knowledge, I know what it takes to conceptualize math. Manipulatives play a major role in understanding. Understanding numbers and building a solid foundation are paramount for future math skills. Most of my students do not have a printer at home. Our printer is needed so that we can print additional resources for our centers and students can create and print group projects.
