Flexible seating options can be used to help students be more relaxed during tests. They can also offer a fun reward during silent reading that doesn't interrupt the other students. Students are in the classroom for hours at a time, for some, they need the option of different scenery. The flexible seating gives them a place to go that keeps them in the classroom and engaged in the lessons. The math manipulatives help students who require more hands-on experience to fully understand concrete and abstract concepts. These manipulatives are specifically for the upper elementary levels. My fourth graders may recognize some, and others may be new. Using manipulatives is a great engaging tool in every classroom.
