My students are enthusiastic about learning to read. They are extremely excited when they add new vocabulary to their oral and written language, or use existing vocabulary in new ways. The materials that I have chosen will help to develop their reading skills. The materials are also great supplements to the current reading program being used at my school. I believe that the students should be exposed to a wide variety of literature. The more they apply what they've learnt, the better readers they will become. All the students enjoy interacting with colorful, engaging and relevant materials. Each student will receive his own leveled reader. He will be given the opportunity to share what he is learning/has learnt as they all interact together on Zoom. Each 3-5 student in my reading program, will receive their own grade appropriate copy of 180 Days of Reading. These texts are filled with comprehension and other activities that will stimulate and activate their critical thinking skills. I look forward to what we will accomplish through virtual learning.
