I am excited to be able to give each student a kit of materials, as well as a daily binder of activities, to use while at home during distance learning. Kindergarten is all about hands on learning and I love being able to use MANY manipulatives to tell a story, ask math problems, and think through our work. I know that families are struggling with everything going and these materials will provide hands on materials to use during math and literacy practice! The counting bears, links, and dice will be used during small group math time (On zoom). The crayons and other art supplies will be used for writing and in individual literacy centers that I will be important for practicing letters and sounds. The headphones will be a great tool for listening to lessons, books, and using digital apps for learning. I am excited for them to have their own tools and resources.
