Discovering a love of school while socially distancing is going to be difficult. Working at tables six feet away from new classmates makes making friends difficult. I plan to make these storage bins into Book Boats- a cozy, individual space for our youngest students to read, work, and learn. They are easy to clean, can be individually decorated, will keep a visual, but fun distance from classmates while making new friends, and allow for flexible placement in the classroom, for that student that can't concentrate when the heater is buzzing!
