I will be using these phonics materials to implement a new approach to teaching phonics that I have learned through the Arkansas R.I.S.E. initiative. I am very hopeful that this will help some of my struggling readers to become fluent. I have students every year that come to me in the fourth grade still reading on a second or third-grade level. I will use the magnetic letters and word tiles to help my students build words and use syllable types to decode unknown words. We won't stop until we reach every child!

About my class
