The supplies I selected will ensure that students have the tools they need to thrive in their learning. The cork board map, class calendar, birthday tracker, and other interactive resources will be used to build our classroom community, making it our own. When a student heads over to our classroom library, they will be able to see themselves in the pages, learn about a culture, an identity, or a community that's different from theirs, and be inspired by other female scientists and scientists of color. These books will also be available to students during remote learning via a check-out system. These materials will be used to provide my students with the resources they need to not only build their science skills, but also explore themselves and their world more deeply. A great scientist asks great questions. I'm excited to see how these materials help foster my students' curiosity as the year progresses.
