Facing the coming challenges of learning in unprecedented times, engaging students in authentic experiences is paramount. This year our school will provide a designated time for students in upper-grade levels to focus on Science and Literacy in the same block in order to create trans-disciplinary learning opportunities. Students need to be encouraged now more than ever that they matter and we love them! Due to the CDC guidelines, ample supplies will help our students transition to the "new normal" for learning with ease and safety. In the event we need to pivot to learning from home, having ample resources to send home with the children will be imperative for students to maintain the high level of learning they are accustomed to receiving at school. Help us supply an exciting and engaging year for our students. These materials will allow students to explore the 4 C's of STEM learning (Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking) in a way that can stimulate their learning beyond the classroom. Using materials such as the Marble Run or Maker Kit will provide the hands-on learning and problem solving that makes a 21st-century student successful. With the knowledge that literacy can be the gateway for student success, the game-like materials for phonics instruction will make learning to read fun and exciting for all students. Students can increase their thematic vocabulary knowledge in stimulating games such as Scattergories or Blurt! while fostering excitement and healthy competition. Please partner with us so that we can provide an authentic learning experience that will engage all students. Our students are seriously the best and they deserve the best. With your help, we can make this year amazing!
