The supplies that I am requesting for my students are to help set them up for a successful year in Studio in Crafts, whether we are in hybrid or 100% virtual. To help prevent the spreading of the virus, we are encouraged to provide separate supplies for each student. In Studio in Crafts, we use a wide range of materials and supplies that can add up in cost quickly. It will be crucial to have full class sets of materials like watercolors, markers, and embroidery kits where each student can have their own. They will not need to rely on sharing with each of my 4 classes. All of these supplies can also be packaged up and sent home for my virtual learners. While I feel it is important to create artworks such as process pieces, recycled art, or Earth art, at the Freshman level, I would like to be able to teach some traditional crafts such as embroidery and calligraphy, as well as a newer art form of Zentangle. By donating to this project, my students will be able to continue to explore the arts without feeling completely limited to basic pen and paper supplies for the year. Help me help them have a wonderful year! Thank you!
