We are still uncertain as to how we will be delivering instruction this year. We do know that whether we are in the school building or meeting online, students will need a personal set of supplies in order to help meet their learning needs and the CDC regulations. These materials would all go in the hands of my new kindergarten students and hopefully give them a little excitement and comfort. Many of the families in our school have multiple school aged students and are not able to afford school supplies for each of their students. My hope is to relieve some of that burden and make sure that each of my Kindergartners has all materials necessary to give them a positive learning experience. Items such as crayons and scissors that are Kindergarten aged appropriate will help as they are getting comfortable with new expectations. Whiteboards and markers will be a new experience for many students and a fun way to practice letters and numbers easily. Each student will receive a pack of supplies that will be theirs for the school year and easily portable if learning moves from school to home or vice versa.
