My students love to collaborate with each other and have vigorous in-class discussions. Currently, our traditional desks are not well-suited to this type of discussion and project-based learning. It is difficult to maneuver our desks and they often cause students to feel cut-off from the discussions going on around them. This new flexible-seating furniture would allow my students to feel more comfortable in their learning environment and enhance our collaborative atmosphere. My students each have different learning needs and this flexible seating would present them with a variety of options that are well-suited to their individual learning preferences. It is my goal that this flexible furniture will motivate my students to take ownership of their learning and find their voices in our classroom!
