Our current rug is beyond cleaning. It's been handed down from two other classrooms and just can't be made fresh and clean for sitting. These new carpet squares teach letters, letter sounds and provide each student their own clean area to sit. They can also be cleaned easily. Seeing pictures of things that start with that particular sound is educational in helping students with phonics. The bright colorful squares add fun to our classroom environment. They can also be used for spacing students a part from one another when doing active indoor activities.
