The use of SD card readers is very important in the audio and film class. All cameras and camcorders use SD cards and over time the computer connector cables and SD card readers slowly break down from frequent use. Having multiple SD card readers comes in handy because there are 25 students in the class who need to use them. Generally, students work in groups of 5, so that is 5 groups of 5 students. Therefore, we would only need 5 card readers, but I would like to purchase extra ones in case they break down during the school year. Additionally, I would to purchase 6 clappers so students can experience a real world simulation of what it is like to work in the film industry. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement, digital technology knowledge through equipment use, and prepare them for a film/av/broadcasting career. Students will be able to experience real-world experience using these materials. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
