My students can be in my class for 1 week to 5 months. It all depends on the situation and insurance. The iPads I have asked for will help my older students keep up with school so they don't fall further behind. Many of these students are at least 1-2 grades below their grade level and I am trying to help them like school again and not fall further behind. The younger students usually need help with Letter recognition and basic number sense skills. The iPads will greatly help with this! Many of the student iPads are extremely old and we can't add some of the newer Math and ELA games I learned about during Professional Development. Sometimes these games are the only way I can engage the students in some sort of work that they are willing to complete. I would love to be able to use EPIC for each of the students or assign work for them specifically. With newer iPads I could do that.
