It is a place where they get two to three meals a day. It is where they get to interact socially with their peers. It is where they have teachers who don't judge them, but who believe in them, and listen to them, and advocate for them. It is truly a second home.I am requesting these computers because COVID 19 mandated school closures. I need to be able to provide computers to the students that do not have one at home so they can participate in the live teaching sessions we are providing.Once we are able to return to school, these computers will become part of the SPED department’s computer cart, where I currently only have enough devices for half of the class. I try to incorporate technology throughout the day into all subjects, and having enough computers for everyone would be an amazing asset for the students in my class this year, and for years to come.
