Students are already engaged in core literature that is meaningful and has stood the test of time as Classics. Our school is working hard to provide access to dynamic voices across the modern experience; these extended options will provide my students an even deeper picture of life in the 20th century. Students will read and discuss these novels in conjunction with our already-approved core works, including such novels as The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Beloved by Toni Morrison. Students will engage these novels as a full class, providing richness and variety to the exploration of 20th-century themes.
