Last year I played around with the idea of flexible seating in my classroom, and I hope to fully implement it this year. Flexible seating to me means that the students will have so many new options on how they can sit and complete work or even listen to instruction. Flexible seating this year is going to be even more important due to Covid-19. I hope to provide my students with some safe options and choices for a variety of seats in our classroom. I am super excited to include a classroom learning bar in our room to hopefully seat 8 students. I also plan to use the lap desks for our Chromebooks to allow flexibility to sit in different areas of the room. I already have yoga balls to add to the mix. I feel like these additions will also allow students to feel more comfortable than simply sitting the traditional way in a desk even though they will still be required to do this at times and even given the options to do so. I hope you will help support our flexible seating as well as help me provide the students with options during this time of social distancing...maybe in a fun way!
