Sight words make up 80-90% of the words that appear in books. These words are difficult to sound out and need to be memorized. Students that struggle with attention issues need a fun and exciting way to learn sight words. By allowing them to learn sight words using many different learning styles more children will be successful at reading. Building confidence when reading is crucial to forming lifelong readers. Imagine being able to read 80-90% of the words in a story and only having to sound and blend the other 10%. Reading would become easy and children would want to read. I want children to have a love for reading and when reading becomes easier that will happen.
