2020 has not had the clarity and focus that its name implies. The efforts of our governments and educational leaders to combat the spread of this virus by improving our virtual learning capabilities has been a challenge to many educators. In the past, because of our rural locations and high level of poverty coupled with lack of accessibility to the internet, virtual learning has been difficult to implement. However, drastic times call for drastic measures. In an effort to adapt our learning modalities to the present circumstances that require virtual learning, I need the ability to create a virtual library for my students to access in their educational endeavors. Having an iPad to use to create, record, and organize supplemental materials will be critical for my students with disabilities. While they are receiving lessons from their General Education teachers, they must have the ability to receive my support in understanding and applying that instruction to functional knowledge. I must build a virtual library to assist my students with disabilities as they navigate virtual learning.
