My students are children of poverty. Opportunities to experience rich, diverse cultures are lacking. Many of my children are often without hope or a dream for their future. I want to ‘Make Hope Happen’ in their lives by infusing my classroom with books featuring characters from diverse backgrounds achieving their dreams! Seeing illustrations featuring characters that look like them and reading stories in which people of all backgrounds succeed will be inspirational and motivating. Thank you for your help in sewing hope! You are touching the future and making a difference!
