These books will help me create a classroom library which represents the backgrounds and experiences of all of my students. I want my students to see themselves in the books they read at school. Many of them do not have access to books at home, so the books they read at school are so important. I want to expose my students to other cultures and communities different from their own and create an environment in which all students feel valued and supported. Your help with this project is greatly appreciated.
