These alternative seating stools that wobble have made such a difference in my peers' classroom with their students is amazing. I began using alternative seating this past school year, It was effective but I soon realized that there were so many students in my room that would have benefitted from this form of seating. These little people were up out of their seats, under their desks, and standing up by their desks. I observed the use of these wobbly chairs in another room and so students on task and getting work completed. I then borrowed one and saw how much a change it made for that student. I thought it would help but I had no idea how much it would help this student of mine. He was at his desk area doing the work as he wobbled on this stool and was able to complete his work. He rarely if ever did unless you were sitting right beside him. However, these stools are so expensive that I knew I could not afford them. I heard about Donor's Choice and I thought I would give it a try. Students anxious about COVID-19 will probably increase their inattentiveness. The changes that will be happening in our classrooms this year means students will be sitting more at their desks versus working in small groups or partner groups on the floor.
