All students have the ability to succeed given the right tools. For students with autism this includes materials to meet their daily sensory needs! When their sensory needs are met with high quality tools they are able to focus, attend, and learn in the inclusive setting. They have a decrease in socially unexpected behavior and an increase in learning. Help my students can the best they can be by assisting me in getting quality sensory tools into their hands. The items we needs include fidget tools that help students concentrate during instruction as well as items that apply deep pressure to help students calm. Other items provide tactile sensory input that helps stimulate students before instruction. Students with autism have talents and abilities that shine through when a sensory program is available.
