Each Friday students will participate in our Literary Coffee Shop as they read, discuss, annotate, and analyze different genres of literature and share common literary allusions with their peers. This experience will enable students to be more insightful readers. In addition to enjoying a good cup of joe to awaken their sleepy teenage brains, they will learn the art of academic conversation. Students will learn to become active readers and to interact with the literature. They will each receive a folder for Coffee Shop materials and a pencil pouch containing annotation supplies ( sticky notes and a red pen).

About my class
