The collision repair program is divided into two divisions, collision repair and refinishing. Help these students learn workplace skills. This program is designed to train students to successful repair accidental damage and to refinish vehicles. Emphasis is placed on safety, plasma arc cutting and oxyacetylene cutting, resistance type spot welding, and metal inert gas (MIG) welding. This course incorporates all personal and environmental safety practices associated with clothing; respiratory protection; eye protection; tools; power equipment; proper ventilation; and the handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and materials in accordance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. Refinishing skills learned in this program may also carry over into many other industries through manufacturing finishing of products. All programs are NATEF accredited and students are eligible to receive ASE credentials. ICAR curriculum and credentials are being utilized in many programs.
