I will be using the book Soul Surfer in my classroom to work on nonfiction reading standards. Along with reading the book we will be doing research, writing, journaling and so much more. Your help is greatly appreciated! The unit will focus on skills needed to complete nonfiction reading and writing. With this inspirational text, the students will be engaged and maybe even do a little soul surfing themselves. We will work on researching things we don't see where we live like sharks and surfing. It will be a great learning experience.
