Many students arrive in the classroom with no school supplies. As a low income school our students often lack the fiscal ability to come to school with needed school supplies. As a second year teacher I have learned that it is okay to ask for help! These students need someone who can provide them with materials like pencil boxes and take home book bags to help further their learning. The pencil boxes will be used to help students practice organization. Our take home books bags will allow these kiddos to take their reading books home. This gives them an opportunity to grow as a reader and have an after school activity!
