These seats will give my students an opportunity to stay focused on the lesson at hand while they are in their seat. This year, we will be stuck at our desks a bit more than desired because of Covid. I will be able to let my students outside for breaks more, but in Florida it rains almost every day and I want my learners to be able to feel comfortable and free while in our room. I am diagnosed with ADHD myself and have empathy for the students that struggle to sit in a normal chair. While being beneficial for all learners, these seats would especially help my fidgety learners without making them feel singled out. These seats also promote good posture and balance. Dailymom.com tells us that wobble seats cause, "Improved concentration and focus due to better blood flow and glucose metabolism throughout the body increasing brain function." My goal is to allow my students to be successful learners. I know that providing them with wobble seats will improve their sensory focus, classroom awareness, and meet their classroom performance needs.
