The books I have chosen are very supportive, insightful and full of supports to further my learning. By utilizing these books, I plan to increase my skills sets while implementing more up-to-date skills within reading and writing. I want to be able to support my students by utilizing these great books that have been used in many professional developments that I have not been able to attend. With the Distance Learning we were forced to implement at the end of last school year our students need even more support and new strategies to be successful than ever before. We don't know what this year will hold, but I intend to be prepared to help my students in the classroom and out as well as providing support for any parent that is willing to continue the home learning. My vision is to create a strong learning library for myself as I advance in my career. I need new and updated materials that have consistently worked for so many teachers and students. With these books, I also plan to support my colleagues whenever possible by sitting with these books and promoting new and fresh ways to reach our learners! Our students need a variety of teaching strategies to meet the variety of learning styles that works best with each student. Some of them are below level, some on level and some above grade level. We teachers need to be able to help them succeed no matter what level. With access to more learning strategies the students will be able to grow and learn in the best way for them insuring the greatest use of their potential.
