Children always have a fascination with light. What kid hasn't played with the reflection off of a shiny object or flashed a laser pointer or multiple surfaces. By purchasing the light sets, my students will be able to safely experiment with light reflection and refraction. By adding the solar kits, the children will be able to experience first hand that light energy is a powerful and useful source of energy. If you provide my class with these hands-on opportunities, my students will be better prepared to apply the lessons they learned to higher levels of problem solving.
