My students are active learners. Some are brand new to the high school setting and have a difficult time sitting still all day long. The wobble stools not only strengthen core muscles and correct posture, but they also help fidgety students with concentration. Students are naturally active, and this stool encourages the higher energy child to get their wiggles out while remaining in their seat so their studies get done. This is the best way to help ADD & ADHD kids handle sitting down for long periods. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are able to get their wiggles out. When a student engages in a cognitive task while sitting on a wobble stool they must focus and concentrate more than when sitting still. Sitting on a wobble stool no longer means that students are sedentary. We know that when students are moving they are increasing blood flow and oxygen to the brain which increases achievement. These stools are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. I have seen how these stools help students focus and concentrate more on their school work. This focus and concentration has made students more successful in school!
