While we are out of school I will read these books aloud and record them, then send them to my students. Although most of them have no internet, they do have access to their parent's phones and will get to play the recordings again and again. During the next school year, we will re-read or re-watch the books to peel away and uncover all of the hidden content and teaching points. Reading aloud and folding back the layers of picture books is the most enjoyable way to learn new skills- the students don't even realize they are learning!
