Flexible seating will allow my students to be more involved in their learning. They will be more self aware of what they need when they are able to choose the seating option that will best help them learn. It will teach them to self advocate for their own needs. Students positively respond when they have some choice in their learning environment. Flexible seating options will optimize my small group time with my students since they will be able to have more sustained focus during my lessons. I teach 30 minute small groups, which always fly by! We will get so much learning done and my students will be more actively engaged. All of my students sit at my small group table, which has limited our ability to move around. The items I have chosen are lightweight and easily able to be switched out around the table. The wobble stools, wiggle seats, yoga balls, and fidget bands will give them so many more options to wiggle it out while we learn!
