A set of (12) VR Glasses would open a world of education they nor their parents have ever seen! "Can I go to Stanford University?" "Does Spellman University have a career I can learn to get a good job?" These are the types of questions that my students ask because they are eager to see education outside of their communities and state. For the upcoming school year, and during times where hope maybe scarce, I want to re-ignite my students' dreams of going to college. The student population at our school is 99.9% African-American, who live in poverty. Creating a thirst to further their education, and help their families is the hope and desire of many of them. Viewing college through the lens of the VR Glasses gives them that insight! The ability to see and walk around campuses virtually, is the hook they need to keep their hunger alive. These students would not ever get this type of opportunity in real life. "Experience is the best teacher!"
