A classroom carpet is an essential element in the classroom. Working at an elementary school that incorporates Reggio Emilia techniques, the classroom environment is known as the "third teacher." For my students and I, our classroom becomes our home and a place of solace. Many of my students will be coming to school craving routine and comfort. This classroom carpet will help create the "third teacher." The carpet in an early childhood classroom provides a space for morning meetings, discussions, and read alouds. I am so excited to get to learn and grow with my students in the vulnerable, sweet moments on our classroom carpet.
