Creating an engaging and interactive learning environment for my students to see while they are learning at home is so important! My first graders will be learning how to read and build upon their knowledge from kindergarten at their homes this year, which will prove to be a challenge in many ways. By using a whiteboard and anchor charts with my students I hope to create a rigorous and engaging environment for my students so that they do not miss a beat! First grade is such a huge year in students' development of reading, and by being able to model reading and writing on the easel, students will be able to see relatable examples.

About my class
