My students will spend a great deal of time on the carpet doing mini-lessons, turning and talking, engaging in small group work and group reading time. They need a comfortable and inviting place to gather where they all have their own space that they know is theirs. The color coded rug also promotes structure, classroom management and organization which is incredibly important for learning, especially for younger students. I know that if my students have this rug it will give them an inviting space that they will want to run to everyday and enjoy their learning!
