An iPad would, quite literally, give my students the gift of speech among other blessings. This iPad would be used in whole group and small group instruction. Through software on the iPad, students who are non-verbal or have difficulty with speech would be able to easily participate in class. The student would pick answers or type in their responses and the voice programs would speak their responses aloud for the students. In short, this gift would give students their voice. For students who have difficulty writing or have disabilities in which they can not hold a pencil, this iPad will allow them to answer questions without writing. They can select their answers on the device which will allow them to participate alongside their classmates. An iPad for my students would be a huge blessing. Every student in my class would benefit greatly from this gift. An iPad would allow appropriate modifications to lessons and ensure students the ability to participate.
