These materials will serve as a platform for teachers in the fourth grade to allow for discussions on topics that are not the easiest to approach.They will allow for students to listen, learn, and become comfortable with being uncomfortable. As educators, we are called to fight for the greater good. We want to be proactive in helping our students recognize ways to make society better. As an IB school, we stretch students' minds by using the inquiry process. This allows for them to think fully through their thoughts and tap into their critical thinking skills. We hope to use these read-alouds as a platform to explore topics that are difficult. By discussing these topics during this time, we are helping to create the change!
