We want to empower our students to embrace and celebrate diversity! There has never been a more important time to address equity and racism. Children's picture books share important messages in an easy-to-understand way. "Little Legends," "Freedom Summer," and "The March on Washington" give important historical perspective on racism. "Everybody is Welcome" and "The Wall" demonstrate why we need each other. "Sulwe" and "Brian the Brave" teach self-acceptance. "The World Needs More Purple People" encourages students to find their voice. These books will become part of our library collection that all staff and students can access, Thank you for your support and for empowering our students!
