This Elementary Agriculture program is one of 26 in the state of Georgia, and the Georgia curriculum for elementary Agriculture is leading the way for elementary programs across the United States. I am looking forward to building this program from the ground up and providing elementary age children with amazing hands-on learning experiences. With the materials on my list, my students will be able to start seedlings in our classroom and transplant them into our new school garden. In the garden, students will learn to care for and maintain the garden area by pulling weeds, watering the plants along with learning to compost and it's important for our garden. With the materials you donate, my students will observe the life cycle of the egg as well as care for the newly hatched chicks. We will continue to care for and observe our baby chicks in our chicken coop. I will also use children’s literature to teach students where their food, clothes, and other things they use every day. Children’s literature is a great way to provide students with visual learning opportunities we may not get to experience otherwise. This program is fully supported by donations and fundraising, no donation is too small. Thank you in advance for your donation and for playing an important role in our children and their future.
