As a first year teacher, I am starting from scratch in decorating my classroom. I have always envisioned my classroom to be a "home away from home" in which my students will feel comfortable and have a safe and fun learning environment. Math is a high anxiety causing subject as it is, and, with that being said, I would like to provide my students with a relaxing classroom environment. I want my students to feel welcome in my classroom and excited to come to math class! The decorations I have chosen involve calming neutral tones, as well as, encouraging signs to help motivate my students when they may be struggling.
