The magazines would be used to provide background knowledge and expand students' thinking. These magazines will be used as extension activities and small group assignments that would fully engage students away from their phones. It is difficult to text and scroll while holding a magazine! These magazines will help students with their ability to read and comprehend information in a hands-on and visually stimulating way. Since the information is current and relatable, these magazines can encourage excellent student discussions and provide debatable topics to be used in our English Language Arts classroom!
