When students have a safe space and feel comfortable, they will be more successful in school. When they come in my classroom, they will be able to have alternative seating and fidgets which will help them focus and retain the information. Students will get to chose the kind of seat they sit in as well as the sensory fidget they have at their desk. Sensory items are always an important staple of any special education classroom. I want to be able to provide the best for each one of my kiddos. The more sensory items and fidgets for focusing that I have in my classroom, the more they will enjoy coming and then in turn, the more success they will have.
